Kevin McCarthy
- The Man -
Kevin was born in Dartford, Kent at the age of 32. He progressed to the dizzy heights of a truck driver. More by accident than luck, he entered the showbusiness world via an ‘open mic’ spot at one of London’s less salubrious comedy venues, ‘The Tunnel Club’. Far from scaring him away he found a craving for the spotlights.
James Goldbury
Currently storming clubs all over his native Ireland, Dublin comedian James Goldsbury finally gets a chance to pop his UK comedy cherry! With bizarre comedy accents galore he’s one to watch.
“His words come faster than a muppet spitting popcorn!” Metro
John Fothergill
John has slotted into the comedy circuit like a three pinned plug combining a unique style of embarrassing sexual revelations with a rural innocence. He has also toured the nations universities, done two tours of Ireland and performed in Hong Kong and regularly at the Edinburgh Festival. In 1997 John performed a month long run at the Adelaide International Comedy Festival, and in 1999 he appeared on BBC 1’s The Stand Up Show, and became a regular member of the Comedy Store’s highly regarded Cutting Edge team
“Hilarious stories delivered superbly” The Guardian
Mike Bubbins
In mid 2008, for the first time, Mike held a microphone whilst not wearing a jumpsuit. Having followed the not particularly well-worn career path of professional rugby player, PE teacher and Elvis Tribute Artist he jumped in to the world of stand-up comedy.
Since then he has firmly established himself on the comedy circuit. Entertaining audiences and gigging at some of the best festivals and comedy clubs in the country. He’s performed his critically-acclaimed debut solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, supported Rhod Gilbert and Rich Hall on their national tours, and appeared as a regular guest comedian on BBC Radio Wales.
Mike is also busy writing and acting. He played the challenging role of dancing village idiot in Rhod Gilbert’s Return to Llanbobl, and further shattered Welsh stereotypes by playing a coal miner in an Aneurin Bevan biopic. He competed at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival 2010 with the comedy-documentary he wrote and presented. Controversially, (according to Mike) he was robbed of victory. Absolutely robbed. By six other people.
“Hilariously gifted. Truly funny” Rhod Gilbert
